TAB Motive Power Batteries

TAB is a manufacturer of industrial batteries, specialising in motive power solutions for material handling equipment and industrial applications. TAB (Tovarna akumulatorskih baterij d.d.) is based in Mežica, Slovenia, and was established in 1965 as a subsidiary of Rudnik Mežica Holding, in a region where lead mining and related activities go back more than 350 years. For its first 15 years, TAB was a licence partner of Tudor, Sweden. Today TAB produces flooded, VRLA AGM and VRLA Gel lead acid batteries, and in 2017 it began developing lithium modules. TAB’s management systems are certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

TAB’s traction range includes the TAB DIN, BS, BCI, PzV, PzVB, PzRM and PSQ batteries, plus TABEx batteries for explosion-risk zones, which are produced under the IECEx certification scheme in line with directive 2014/34/EU. TAB states that its traction batteries power the vehicles that move goods in logistics and industrial areas around the world. TAB also offers lithium-ion traction batteries, which are completely maintenance-free and use the TAB battery management system (BMS) to monitor the battery’s condition at any time.

At EnergyHub, we supply TAB motive power batteries to support reliable performance and efficient operations across various industries. Our TAB range includes TAB motive power batteries, TABEx traction batteries and TAB traction Li-ion batteries.

Our TAB solutions are suitable for a range of industrial applications, including electric forklifts, reach trucks, pallet trucks, stackers, and other electrically powered material handling equipment.

Why Choose TAB at EnergyHub? TAB’s range is built for the equipment our customers run: forklifts, reach trucks, pallet trucks and stackers. It covers lead acid, lithium-ion and explosion-risk (TABEx) versions in one brand. EnergyHub backs it with chargers, battery water and battery services across our branches in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang and Singapore.

Why TAB Batteries?

TAB focuses on traction batteries, with lead acid and lithium-ion options for the electric vehicles that move goods. In Malaysia, Ken Research names Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru as the cities driving electric forklift demand, and lists warehousing, manufacturing, retail, and logistics and distribution as the main end users. EnergyHub has branches in all three cities.

Lead Acid Traction Batteries

TAB makes flooded, VRLA AGM and VRLA GEL traction batteries for forklifts and cleaning machines, with special versions for mine locomotives. TAB’s Polish site lists a central water refilling system, an electrolyte level sensor and a mixing system, which shortens charging to 5 to 6 hours so forklifts can run two or even three shifts.

Lithium-ion Traction Batteries

TAB e.motive Li-ion batteries are made for forklifts and industrial vehicles. TAB states they are completely maintenance-free, allow opportunity charging at any time, and need no battery room with ventilation and extraction systems. TAB lists charging times of 2 hours (fast) and 4 hours (normal), and states the batteries are plug and play replacements for most lead acid batteries, normally without forklift modifications, in standard DIN trays or custom sizes. The TAB BMS lets you monitor battery condition at any time. Market research firm 6W research expects the lithium-ion segment of Malaysia’s electric forklift market to register notable growth.

EnergyHub has branches in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Penang, the three cities Ken Research names for electric forklift demand, as well as Singapore. We supply TAB motive power batteries together with chargers, battery water and battery services, so you can get your battery, charger and servicing from one supplier in Malaysia.
